We’ve had our little Nintendo website up for a couple of months now. As you might know, it is dedicated entirely to Nintendo, with the intention to grow. Certainly, with the 3DS regaining its momentum and the release of the Wii U, there’s a lot to write about. However, getting content up regularly is a tough task with a limited staff. We would like offer content on a daily basis, so we could use a lot of help! We're offering voluntary writing positions to Nintendonians who like to keep up with current Nintendo affairs and want to write about their passion.
Right now the website will offer the following content:
1) Reviews of Nintendo games
The bulk of our content will be reviews for recent titles, preferably 3DS, eShop and recent Wii, WiiWare, DS and DSiWare releases. Reviewing older games is also part of the plan, but nothing older than GameCube generation games. For Virtual Console and other retro games, a different website is in the works (Forgotten Bits).
A feature can be anything an editor wants to talk about. Think "Top 10 DS games", "Why the Wii still has life in it", "Games we want to see on 3DS", etc. We would also like to see some critical articles which spark discussion.
If something important or interesting happens in Nintendo land, we want to report it!
What's most important to us is that our writers are pro-active and make suggestions of their own concerning what they want to write. Anyone can apply, so age doesn’t matter as long as your writing talent speaks for itself.
If you're interested or would like to have more information, reply here and/or send a mail to contribute[at]nintendobits[dot]com and tell something about yourself, your motivation and provide if possible, a sample of relevant previous work. If you’re interested in contributing and using Nintendo Bits as a platform for your writing, we would love to hear from you!
