The game once announced at E3 by Reggie Fils-Aime as Disney Epic Disney will most likely get a sequel. Information found on an online marketing survey by Disney includes several pieces of box art and possible new titles for the sequel: Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street, and plain Epic Mickey 2. The survey also points out that the game will be released on several platforms, including PS3, 360 and Wii.
Not much is known about the game’s new features, besides the addition of cooperative split-screen multiplayer. The second player will be able to take control of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who will be able to use electricity against enemies and use his ears to hover as a helicopter. The paint mechanics from the first game will also make their return. The original game received mixed, but generally favourable reviews, so there is room for improvement as the game’s promise ultimately overshadowed the final product (remember the amazing concept art?). Still, it will be interesting to see what the sequel will have in store for us.
